Daily Standup
Format standup updates for Slack. Terse. Useful to teammates. Done in 30 seconds to read.
Format
**[NAME] — [DATE]**
Yesterday:
- [what you actually finished — link if there's a PR/doc]
- [second item if relevant]
Today:
- [what you're working on]
- [anything that blocks others, flagged]
Blocked: [yes/no — if yes, one sentence on what and who can unblock]Rules
- "Yesterday" = what you completed, not what you worked on. If it's not done, say "continued X" not "finished X".
- "Today" = your top 1–2 priorities. Not a full task list.
- Blocked is binary. If you're slowed down but not blocked, skip it.
- No "I will try to" — either it's today's priority or it isn't.
- Links are good. PR numbers, Notion pages, Figma links. Saves teammates a question.
When to use this skill
Tell the agent: "Write my standup. Yesterday I [list]. Today I'm [list]. Blocked on [yes/no + detail]."
The agent will format it and optionally copy it to clipboard for posting in your team's Slack #standup channel.
